Cucumber Limeade
Equipment Needed:
Blender or muddler
Strainer
Pitcher
Glasses
Stirring spoon
- Ingredients
- For the Cucumber Limeade:
- 1 large cucumber
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice about 6-8 limes
- 1/2 cup sugar or sweetener of your choice
- 4 cups water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves optional, for garnish
- Lime slices optional, for garnish
Method
Prepare the Cucumber:
Wash the cucumber thoroughly. If you prefer a stronger flavor, peel it; otherwise, leave the skin on for extra nutrients.
Cut the cucumber into small chunks for easier blending.
Blend the Cucumber:
Place the cucumber chunks in a blender.
Add 1 cup of water and blend until smooth.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher to remove the pulp, leaving you with a cucumber juice.
Mix the Limeade:
In the pitcher with cucumber juice, add the freshly squeezed lime juice, sugar, and the remaining 3 cups of water.
Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved. Adjust the sweetness to your preference.
Chill and Serve:
Let the mixture stand in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to chill.
When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the Cucumber Limeade over the ice.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lime slices for a pop of color and flavor.
